1998 Nissan 200SX SE R

The 200SX SE R is Nissan's sportiest coupe. If you are a car enthusiast looking
for style and performance but conscious about your budget as well, this car fits
your needs perfectly. It is a sports car in its very essence yet it is affordable,
making it highly competitive in the tight coupe market. It offers comfortable
and quiet drive with its roomy and well-equipped interior, tough drivetrain and
suspension. The SE R, compared to other Nissan 200SX coupes, holds bigger and
more powerful engine and carries upgraded brakes, suspension and driveline. The
Nissan 200SX is generally fun to drive but if you want more, the Nissan 200SX
SE R provides you just what you want in a car.
Making the SE R apart from other Nissan 200SX are its subtle side still extensions,
unique five-spoke 15-inch aluminum alloy wheels and trunk lid with SE R badge.
Mounted on its handsome wheels are 195/55VR-15 Goodyear Eagle all-season high-performance
tires. This year model also takes pride of its thicker front anti-roll bar that
decreases body roll in corners; excellent limited-slip differential that decreases
wheel spin; and four-wheel disc brakes that yield improved braking performance
over the standard disc brakes.
For 1998, Nissan 200SX SE R was restyled a bit but it was continuously sold at
the same price. Slight changes to the 1998 model include: new taillights, grille,
bumper, multi-parabola headlights and sporty exhaust tip. Also new to this year
are the three additional colors and new interior cloth. Giving it confidence on
the road is a 2L DOHC engine that delivers 140 horsepower and 132 ft-lbs of torque.
The SE R can run from 0 to 60 mph in about 7.8 seconds, which is faster than the
1.6L models. It has adequate fuel economy and emissions are made finer this year,
making available in all states.
