1988 Nissan 200SX

Standards for top quality cars have gone higher and higher as time goes by but
it's quite interesting to note that older cars still make a good impression on
many car users. Modern cars compared to older ones may be way too far in terms
of style but not so much when it comes to performance and reliability. Such is
true with the 1988 Nissan 200SX. It is reliable, sporty and fun to drive like
its modern versions. It is roomy and its trunk is spacious as well. For budget-minded
individuals, its low market price is the biggest plus.
The 1988 Nissan 200SX is offered in three trims, namely, the XE notchback, the
XE hatchback and the SE. The notchback and hatchback XE models both carry 2.0
L I4 engine that delivers 99 horsepower and a torque of 116 lb-ft at 4000 rpm.
The SE holds a bigger engine, 3.0 L V6 engine that produces 165 horsepower and
achieves a torque of 186 lb-ft at 4000 rpm. At steady 85 mph, it is smooth and
stable. It gets 25-29 mpg on highway. A standard five-speed manual overdrive and
an optional four-speed manual overdrive are offered to all models.
It is equipped with easily adjustable front bucket seats with a console in between.
It also features a digital dash board and power steering. It has independent rear
suspension, four-wheel disc brakes and rear-wheel drive. Its top-notch parts can
tell you it is a sports car but the 1988 Nissan 200Sx is also safe, easy to handle
and maneuver. Other optional features offered for the three models include sunroof,
air conditioning, power door locks, foglights and cassette player. Power windows
are standard only on the SE and are optional for the two other models.
